Coburg’s population is forecast to increase to 37,100 by 2036 – growth of 32%. Lone person and couple households are forecast to grow strongest in the next 20 years, at 37% and 35% respectively, as the suburb densifies.

In 2017, Coburg High School had an enrolment of 550 students. The school is growing rapidly and they anticipate a total enrollment to exceed 1000 students by 2020.

Coburg Primary School

Coburg Primary School started out in May 1853. The school today has an enrollment of around 250 students and is on the rise once again due to the gentrification of the surrounding suburbs.

Moreland Primary School

Moreland Primary School is a multicultural school of approximately 330 children comprising around 19 nationalities speaking 23 different languages.
